Tell us more about yourself and what led you to your current position.

After secondary school, I was uncertain about my career path. I decided to study Hotel and Restaurant Management, where I realized that people & culture, high-quality service, and my communication skills were vital for success. However, due to night shifts and limited career prospects, I sought a more stable job for my health. That’s how I became an Administrator at Ruptela in 2018 while studying Business Management at Vilnius University. In six months, I transitioned to the role of Administrator-CEO assistant, responsible for optimizing our CEO’s workday. Inspired by the HR team, I pursued Master’s studies in Human Resources management.
Juggling two roles, studies, and witnessing Ruptela’s ups and downs provided invaluable experience, making me stronger. Two years ago, our HR team underwent significant changes, transforming me into an HR Generalist within a smaller team. It was a challenging period, but I learned that nothing is impossible. As our CEO once told me (Rocky Balboa’s quote) – “You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!”. And this quote is the best example of how my and all Ruptela’s years were going from my first day at Ruptela. Also, I am happy to share that all my effort, discipline, and persistence paid off to be promoted to the HR Operation partner position here. So if you have strong personal skills and motivation and work at Ruptela, there can’t be a better match for an extraordinary experience and a successful career path.

When and why did you join Ruptela’s team?

In October 2018, I joined Ruptela, drawn to their stability and the opportunity for office work as an Administrator. Prior to Ruptela, I had taken a 5-month break from work due to night shifts while serving as a Receptionist at a hotel. Ruptela’s appeal lay in their regular office schedule, international environment, vibrant culture, enjoyable Pet Fridays, and the perk of having “BARBORA” food available. It truly won me over!

How does your journey at Ruptela looks like?

My journey at Ruptela is akin to climbing Everest. It’s a thrilling adventure filled with incredible people, unforgettable experiences, and countless valuable moments. However, just like scaling a mountain, there are challenges and stressful situations that come with the territory. It’s a mix of ups and downs, but as with everything in life, finding the right balance is key.

How do you start your day? Please share any rituals or tips&tricks that help you stay productive all-day.

Shower… It’s always a shower and then a cup of coffee. Without these two rituals, I can’t start my day entirely fresh & ready

What motivates you to go to work every day?

One of the most priceless aspects of Ruptela is its people and culture. It’s truly something special Additionally, working from the office is highly convenient for me, as I prefer face-to-face interactions. However, I do enjoy the flexibility of working from home once a week, typically on Fridays. It strikes a great balance!

What are your job’s most challenging and most cheering elements?

The most challenging aspect revolves around the constant changes both within the company and in the global landscape. It demands adaptability, constant learning, and a perpetual feeling of being on your toes. Just when you think you have it under control, life throws you a curveball, requiring you to step out of your comfort zone and face new challenges.
On the other hand, the most rewarding part is witnessing the results of your efforts. It’s seeing the smiles on the faces of employees and managers when you make things happen. It’s the freedom to make decisions, the autonomy given, and the confidence management places in you. These elements contribute to a vibrant and fulfilling experience.

Tell us more about your hobbies

In my spare time, I enjoy walking, meditating, traveling, listening to music, and reading psychological books. As a unique form of meditation, I also find pleasure in making homemade soap. It’s a diverse range of hobbies that brings me joy.

Interesting facts about you.

Among my colleagues, I’m affectionately known as “Baba Vika” due to my uncanny ability to have prophetic night dreams and foresee events, whether they be good or bad. Additionally, some people humorously include me in the list of animals that sleep the longest, as I often find myself indulging in more than 12 hours of sleep per day.
Speaking of my fears, snakes and reptiles instill a deep sense of unease within me. On the other hand, I thrive on exhilarating experiences and occasionally participate in activities such as women’s rallies, karting, or off-road driving. Although these adventures are rare, I genuinely wish to engage in them more frequently.

What is your favorite place in the world? Why?

Choosing between two remarkable places is no easy task. The first is Zakynthos, an island of love and enchanting melodies, boasting breathtaking beaches, majestic cliffs, scenic mountains, and a haven for turtles. The locals and their delectable cuisine add to the island’s allure.
The second destination is North Cyprus, renowned for its golden beaches, abundant natural beauty, uncrowded towns, and the freedom of animals roaming freely. You may even encounter friendly donkeys strolling along the beach. And for those who share my affection, North Cyprus is a paradise for cat lovers, with feline companions adorning every corner.

And the last one – could you share any advice for those who want to start their career in the telematics industry?

If you thrive in a dynamic and ever-evolving environment, embrace challenges, and relish in hard work that offers incredible opportunities for continuous learning, then this is the perfect place for you. At Ruptela, each day, month, and year is far from boring.
